SheRox has returned! TriRox Training created the first ever all female group in 2018, 30 females came together and for the first time were introduced to Triathlon training and competing.  A mixed ability of women from all walks of life.  Such as success was this first group, that many more groups of mixed genders and abilities have followed, coming together to train for a specific race, and with different goals.

This time, TriRox Training is going back to its roots and is forming a training group in the Llandudno area especially for WOMEN.  All abilities are welcome specifically beginner/ novice and improver women!

TriRox Training is offering a chance for you to get fit, maintain fitness or build your fitness during the dark autumn months with others and under the guidance and encouragement of qualified (and fab) coaches.

Starting Monday October 16th 2023 and finishing on December 10th, utilising the promenade in Llandudno, Colwyn Bay athletics track, and John Brights.

We will be focusing on technique, building strength, endurance and having fun!

What you will get for your money!

You will get an  8 week training plan via Training Peaks (basic account) with running and cycling sessions to follow, ONE face to face bike or run session per week as well as upto 3 Live Strength and conditioning sessions via Zoom.  (which are recorded and can be viewed in your own time)

Meet like minded people, train together, learn new techniques and tactics, get support, encouragement and motivation from others and the coaches AND have fun whilst doing it.

BONUS

MarshTracks is booked for the 9th December so you can put all your new skills to use in a low key Duathlon Event.

What is a beginner/ novice or improver athlete?

Beginner: Someone who has enjoyed exercise in the past but hasn’t done any formal training and would need to start from the beginning with running and biking.  We would start you off on a walk/run program and build the time on the bike over the 8 weeks from 30mins to 2hours per week. You would start off with one run and one bike session during the first week and build up to 1-2 bike and 2 run sessions per week. You don’t have to be competitive, you simply want to enjoy exercise and develop your fitness levels.

Novice: You are already training – you may be going to the gym, you may be running or/ and biking on a regular basis but with no structure to your training and no focus.  You need a little more motivation to train, perhaps a race or a challenge to get you out on the road!  We have a plan for you!  You should be able to run 5km continuously and ride a bike for an hour, so you already have a little fitness and are keen to develop yours over the next few months.  You will start with 2 short (30mins) run sessions and 1 longer (45-60mins) bike session per week.  You will build up to 2 runs and 2 bikes (1 short and 1 longer) per week

Improvers: You have trained in the past and have a good base behind you (even if you aren’t fit at the moment), you have been on one of TRT courses previously or had structured training before.  You have trained consistently for up to 8 weeks at a time (even if you have stopped and restarted etc).  You have raced before (be it a run race, bike race or multi sports) you may not be fast but you can be focussed, committed and consistent with your training.  We would start you off with 2 bikes and 2 runs in the first week and potentially build to 2-3 bikes and 2-3 runs.

Brick sessions will be included in the plans.  Everyone should have a heart rate monitor for best results.

The face to face sessions have been planned, the dates are below! Remember, you don’t have to attend them all, if you can’t make the session it will be in the plan to follow in your own time.  The group sessions are perfect to meet other people, learn how to train from expert coaches and be motivated throughout your sessions.
